Q.  How do I get started to activate Postini for my organization?
A.  To get started, contact Phoenix Business Technologies Group and we’ll begin Postini’s activation
process by making a small change to your DNS record, this is an easily obtained bit of information
located with your email hosting provider. All that will be required of you is your permission.

Q.  How long does it take to get Postini activated?
A.  After the above information is obtained, activation usually happens between 5 and 7 days.

Q.  Where do I see all the spam Postini has captured?
A.  Whether it’s one piece of spam or ten thousand Postini quarantines all of your spam and
compiles into just one email sent to your inbox with the subject titled “Quarantine Summary.”

Q.  How do I delete all the spam and other email threats Postini has captured?
A.  Deletion is done the same as your normal email - select the “Quarantine Summary”
titled email and click delete. This will delete all of your quarantined email in one clip.

Q.  How can I open a quarantined email that I want to see?
A.  Click on the email titled Quarantine Summary, this will open the list of all your captured email
threats, (it’s safe to do), then simply click “deliver” on a selected email in the list, this will move the
captured email to your inbox or junk-mail folder where it now can be opened like a normal email.

Q.  What about spam I actually want to receive?
A.  Simply insert the email addresses you wish to bypass quarantine in the “Approved Senders” area
located within “My Settings” which you get to through Postini’s secure Customer Login section on
the Postini Website. The “approved” emails will automatically arrive in your inbox. You can also easily
add email domains and lists, or reverse or change these actions if you’d like.

Q.  Is there any training, follow-up action, or administration needed on my end for Postini?
A. No to all the above. Since you treat all quarantined email as normal email no training for Postini
is required. All support, and updating is done behind the scenes by Phoenix Group with no disruptions
